Zoe's mother was murdered by the noble Consort Li, and in order to seek justice for her mother, she entered the palace as a maid five years later. Over these five years, Zoe formed an alliance with the families of other victims who were innocently harmed by the consort, and together they orchestrated a plan to gradually reveal the consort's crimes. The long-standing grievances were finally avenged, and Zoe became the empress.
